The AGM NVG-40 is a dual-channel night vision system built for durability and clarity. Housed in a compact composite shell, this NVG features advanced multi-coated optics for superior light transmission and high-quality imagery. It can be equipped with either Gen 2+ or Gen 3 image intensifier tubes (IIT), including the Gen 3 Auto-Gated White Phosphor 3APW variant, which delivers exceptional resolution and minimal visual imperfections, ensuring top performance even in varying light conditions.

The device comes with Manual Gain Control, allowing you to fine-tune image brightness as light levels change, ensuring a clear and balanced view. Its bright light cut-off function safeguards the photocathode tube from damage. A built-in infrared illuminator enables detailed reading and close-up work in total darkness. Powered by either a CR123A or AA battery, the NVG provides up to 20 hours of continuous use and up to 80 hours with an optional battery pack.

Preinstalled with an NVG Interface Shoe, the device easily mounts to standard dovetail-type mounts for hands-free use. Additional mounting options include the included Bayonet/Horn Interface Shoe or optional Mini-Rail Interface Shoe for flexible integration with various helmet mounts.
